2.48.070 Park rules generally.

The following regulations shall apply to all city parks:
A. No person shall operate a motor vehicle in any park driveway at a speed in excess of 15 miles per hour.
B. No person shall park any motor vehicle in any place in public parks except in designated parking areas.
C. No fires shall be lighted or made in the park except by permission of the commissioner and then only in places provided for such purposes.
D. No person shall scatter about or litter the grounds with any form of waste material.
E. No person shall commit any nuisance or any offense against decency or public morals.
F. No person shall throw stones or rubbish of any kind in any lake, pond or watercourse, nor bathe therein.
G. No person shall paste or affix or inscribe any handbill or poster on any structure or property in either of such parks or any place or square or highway surrounding the same.
H. No person shall be permitted to sell any article whatever nor play any game of baseball or football or other game therein except in areas provided therefor.
I. Only those animals which are properly leashed shall be allowed in any park.
J. No owner or person responsible for any animal shall permit such animal’s waste to remain in any park.
K. No person shall write upon or mark or deface in any manner or use in any improper way any property or thing pertaining to or in said parks.
L. No person shall consume or be in possession of alcoholic beverages or drugs in any park.
M. All persons shall obey all reasonable orders or directions of the commissioner or appointed park custodian.
N. All parks shall be closed and no one shall be permitted to enter or use any park grounds from sunset to sunrise.
O. No person shall be allowed to skateboard in any place, or use in any manner, any city property for that purpose and in any park.
P. Roller blading shall be prohibited in the Town Square Park and adjacent city property.
Q. No person shall be allowed to swim, bathe, wade or enter into any water feature located on city property. A water feature is any pond, waterfall, retention or detention pond, or lake.

2.48.080 Enforcement.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be required to appear in court and if found guilty shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $500 for any violation of this chapter or section thereof. (Ord. 728 § 9, 1980.)
